Food Security
Food security exists when all people, at all times, have physical, social, and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life. It is based on four key pillars :
1.Availability – Adequate food supply through production, imports, or aid.
2.Access – Ability to obtain food through income, markets, or social support.
3.Utilization – Proper nutrition, food safety, and health for effective food use
4.Stability – Consistent access to food without disruptions (e.g., economic crises, climate shocks).
